Recruitment Programs

  • Early Interview Week (EIW) is an on-campus interview program, during which the majority of our private sector interviews occur.
  • September Interview Program (SIP) and October Interview Program (OIP) provide additional opportunities for employers to recruit on-campus.
  • Georgetown Regional Interview Programs (GRIPs) are conducted in consortium with Cornell Law School in Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Chicago and Dallas. Student commitment to these areas is demonstrated by the fact that they travel to these programs at their own expense.
  • Request for Resumes (RFR) program offers employers an additional opportunity to review resumes from Georgetown law students. Resumes are collected on behalf of employers from students. Employers then arrange interviews with students after reviewing their resumes.
  • Georgetown Interview Program (GIP), coordinated by the Office of Public Interest and Community Service (OPICS), provides federal, state, and local government employers the opportunity to recruit Georgetown Law second year law students for paid summer jobs and third year law students for entry-level positions.

  • Spring Job Fair provides small and medium firms the opportunity to interview Georgetown University Law Center students for summer and post-graduation positions. It is comprised of 2 programs – the February Interview Program and the March Interview Program. Each Interview Program is pre-screened, and takes place on campus.
  • 1L Spring Recruiting Program allows employers to submit a job posting or request a resume collection with or without prescreened on-campus interviews. On-campus interviews take place on Fridays during the Spring semester.

Early in the spring semester, our schools co-sponsor the Public Sector Recruiting Program, which includes over 100 local and national public sector employers. Participating employers recruit Georgetown and GW law students through pre-scheduled interviews, resume collections and informal information exchange.

On August 15, 2008, we will hold the fourth annual IMPACT Career Fair for students with disabilities. The Fair is co-hosted with the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law, and law students from across the nation are invited to attend.
